Some might call me hypocritical because I have decried PETA's "sex sells" tactics using sexy pictures of women, but I will straight up admit that I don't mind looking at this.
However, I'm not actually opposed to the female celebrities posing for the "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" campaign. What I am opposed to is the seeming encouragement of this organization to use "sex sells" tactics at any opportunity. Some of their campaigns (I take particular exception to the "sexy nurse" advert) reduce women from intelligent, capable human beings to tits and ass.
Using "sex sells" advertising at every turn reduces PETA's credibility. The true message becomes obscured by titillation. PETA needs to focus more on the needs of the animals and less on the animal instincts of humans.
